The event marked the beginning of the celebrations for the multinational’s 15th anniversary in the country and aimed to strengthen ties between the two nations

On Wednesday, October 9, NürnbergMesse Brasil, one of the three largest event promoters in the country, organized a meeting in São Paulo between German authorities, including the Bavarian Secretary of Economic Development, Tobias Gotthardt, and representatives of various industries in the national economy. The event marked the beginning of the celebrations for the multinational’s 15th anniversary in the country and celebrated the Brazil-Germany relationship.
The delegation from the European country is in the capital of São Paulo to participate in the Hydrogen Dialogue Latin America, which began this Thursday. This is the largest green hydrogen congress in Latin America, held by the promoter in partnership with Guia Marítimo and the Brazil-Germany Chamber of São Paulo (AHK-SP). Therefore, one of the central themes of the meeting was the discussion of initiatives focused on sustainable development, a common goal of the company and the German federation.
During the event, João Paulo Picolo, CEO of NürnbergMesse Brasil, highlighted the importance of ongoing cooperation between the two countries, noting that since 2009 the group has been promoting business and events to boost Brazil’s participation in the global market. “We believe that this ongoing collaboration will strengthen Brazil’s position as a leader in innovation and sustainability in Latin America and drive the development of local industries,” he said.
In his speech, Tobias Gotthardt, Bavaria’s Secretary for Economic Development, reinforced the historical ties between the two countries, mentioning the arrival of German immigrants to Brazil in the 19th century. “This partnership began way back when, and today we are committed to continuing and deepening this relationship,” he explained. “Our motto is to transform tomorrow into a greener future, and we will do this together,” said the official, highlighting the central role of the partnership in the search for clean solutions.
The initiative reflects the commitment of both countries to promote cooperation between companies, governments and academic institutions, aiming at the development of projects that benefit local economies and contribute to the global climate agenda.
