Glass South America and E-squadria Show bring forward upcoming editions to September 2025 and adopt biennial calendar in odd-numbered years

The promoter NürnbergMesse Brasil, in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Flat Glass Distributors and Processors (Abravidro), announced an important update to the calendar of its construction segment. Initially scheduled for 2026, Glass South America and E-squadria Show were brought forward to 2025. Now, both fairs will be held from September 3 to 6.

In addition to the change in date – a decision made jointly with the exhibitors – the events will be held in the Anhembi District, in São Paulo, with an even more modern structure and suited to the needs of exhibitors and visitors.

“Moving Glass South America and E-squadria Show forward to 2025 and adopting a biennial calendar in odd-numbered years meets a market demand and brings great benefits to the sector. This change avoids overlaps with other important events, such as Glasstec, Simpovidro and Fensterbau Frontale, providing more flexibility for exhibitors and greater balance in annual planning. In addition, it guarantees visitors a shorter interval without events, further strengthening the market’s connection with the innovations and opportunities that these meetings offer”, explains Alexandre Brown, director of the construction department at NürnbergMesse Brasil.

The change to odd-numbered years will ensure greater visibility for partners and promote an even richer and more productive networking experience. In addition, the change in the calendar will allow for a more fluid dynamic for companies operating in the glass and window frames sector, expanding business opportunities with major events every year.

“There was a tradition in the national glass industry of having the two main market events, Glass South America and Simpovidro, held in alternating years. In 2022, as a first step in the post-pandemic recovery, it was necessary to have these events in the same year. Now, the time has come to return to alternating years, improving the flow of companies and enriching the experience of participants”, highlights Rafael Ribeiro, president of Abravidro. Recognized as the largest fair in the glass segment in Latin America since 1996, Glass South America will be held simultaneously with the second edition of E-Squadria Show, which debuted this year, showcasing the best in doors, windows and facades. Both are an essential meeting point for professionals in the construction industry, presenting innovations and trends that are fundamental for the development of the construction market in Brazil and Latin America.
