NürnbergMesse, one of the 15 largest organizers of trade shows and business meetings in the world, present in more than 100 countries, including Brazil, ended the year of its 50th anniversary with an all-time record: it posted a turnover of around 360 million euros. The figures for 2024 represent an increase of 14.3% on the previous record in 2018, when the multinational recorded 315 million euros.
The year was marked by strong demand for global events, which attracted 33,900 exhibitors and 1.56 million visitors, spread over 1.18 million square meters. “The greatest birthday present was undoubtedly this historic presence, which made 2024 our best year,” celebrates Peter Ottmann, the group’s CEO.
The results from Brazil also drew attention. The subsidiary in the country, along with the Chinese one, was the one that stood out the most in the group. This was in the year in which the company celebrated 15 years of operations here. In 2024, NürnbergMesse Brasil announced the addition of new events to its portfolio, such as Construlev Expo, and the relocation of important trade shows, such as PET South America, to ensure even greater excellence for visitors and exhibitors.
Internationally, the highlights were the German subsidiary’s purchase of the WEKA Fachmedien publishing house and the Altenpflege trade show, a leader in the care sector. NürnbergMesse also invested in a new e-commerce site to sell its services and products, and in the use of artificial intelligence at its events, which will continue to grow in 2025. Care for sustainability was another pillar that gained strength in 2024 and will remain a commitment of the multinational.
“Now, for this year, we hope that the 140 major events scheduled, including premieres in Brazil, Mexico and the United States, will generate similar results in revenue and continue to promote the global economy in various segments,” adds Peter.
