The CEO of NürnbergMesse Brasil, João Paulo Picolo, has taken over as vice president of UBRAFE, the Brazilian Union of Trade Fairs and Business Events, after the group he was part of was elected for the 2024/2026 biennium. It is headed by reelected president Paulo Ventura.
Picolo has been a member of the association for eight years and has held a position on the Board of Directors. Now, he will assist in planning, decision-making and representing UBRAFE throughout the country, alongside Ventura.
This expansion of the entity’s national reach is one of the new board’s main goals. The segment generated almost R$10 billion in the Brazilian economy in 2023 and is expected to grow 15% in 2024.
