The 2025 edition attracts new visitors, maintains a qualified audience, and strengthens networking opportunities over four days
With thousands of visitors walking through the aisles, Glass South America and E-Squadria Show wrapped up four intense days of content and business with 12,959 attendees. “We maintained what is most important for our exhibitors: qualified visitors. In addition, we attracted first-time attendees to our pavilions,” said Alexandre Brown, Construction Portfolio Director at NürnbergMesse Brasil, the event organizer.
Glass South America and E-Squadria Show are consolidated as the largest meeting and networking hub for the glass and frames supply chain in South America. The trade shows switched to odd years starting with this edition and already have a new date set: September 8–11, 2027, once again at Distrito Anhembi, in São Paulo.
Organized simultaneously by NürnbergMesse Brasil in partnership with Abravidro, the events attracted processors, glaziers, architects, designers, engineers, locksmiths, and other industry professionals from across Brazil, all seeking innovation, connections, and new business opportunities.
The audience enjoyed networking opportunities and discovered innovations live. São Paulo resident Vicente Firmino, owner of Vicente Vidros, highlighted: “Sandblasters, now operating with carbon dioxide, were a standout. I’m satisfied and plan to return for the next edition.”
More than 120 companies and 300 brands showcased solutions, including decorative, laminated, and tempered glass, as well as machinery and equipment for cutting, grinding, and processing, in addition to inputs and accessories.
“It was a very busy few days and, in our final assessment with the team, we realized we closed more deals than last year,” celebrated Ingrid Szebeny, Marketing Coordinator at Blindex, a long-time exhibitor.
Another frequent exhibitor, Cebrace, also celebrated its results. “It was an incredible few days—we presented our launches and had valuable exchanges and
connections with visitors. Cebrace is proud to take part in events like this, which help strengthen the glass industry,” said Marketing Director Luiz Gonçalves.
Dionir Rogério Fleck, owner of Metalflex, praised the qualified audience, which allowed the company to achieve its event goals. “It exceeded our expectations, we are very satisfied. I see Glass South America as a hub of opportunities,” he emphasized.
Throughout the aisles, signage made it clear that business was booming. Several machines were sold right on the show floor. A testament to this was the success of first-time exhibitor Schiati, a company specializing in machinery for frames, which sold out of one of its product lines. “We saw strong acceptance of our machines. We are very happy with the results,” celebrated Director Felipe Galvão, who is already planning for 2027.
Highlights & Innovations
Glass South America and E-Squadria Show also served as stages for important innovations in the glass industry. Among them was Cebrace’s launch: Cebrace Atmos. Introduced for the first time at the event, the product is manufactured using renewable energy sources and 70% recycled material, achieving a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional glass.
Technology also played a strong role, showing how the industry and Artificial Intelligence are advancing together. AGMAQ presented an articulated robot capable of replacing repetitive tasks once performed manually. Powered by AI, the machine delivers up to five times more productivity.
SGlass also took advantage of the show to launch new solutions. The machine assembly company introduced a buffer for glass storage integrated into the production line. Connected directly to the cutting machine, the equipment automates processes and eliminates the need for direct labor. “We even filed for a patent,” noted Director Sandro Eduardo Henriques.
Buyer Celso Proença Neto attended in search of such innovations. “I came to discover new market trends, do some networking, and meet new suppliers and partners,” he said. For Simone Nascimento, from DSN Paisagismo e Consultoria, glass is gaining increasing prominence in construction. “People are looking for
larger spaces with fewer divisions, and glass is being used more and more in projects,” she explained, reinforcing the importance of events like Glass South America.
Content & Action
A true hub of knowledge exchange for professionals driving the construction and architecture sectors, the Content Arena featured an extensive program with over 20 hours of panels and 33 speakers, including renowned national and international architects as well as glass and frame industry specialists.
This year also introduced a new initiative that caught visitors’ attention: the E-Squadria Show Opportunity Factory by Meu Vidraceiro. Supported by the Brazilian Association of the Window Industry (ABIE), the space combined theory and practice in a fully hands-on environment aimed at sector professionalization. A mini frame factory was set up inside the pavilion.
One of the most anticipated attractions was Glass in Action, another partnership between NürnbergMesse Brasil and Abravidros. With a packed schedule of live technical and practical demonstrations, the initiative showcased different types of glass in real use situations, including resistance and safety tests according to the latest ABNT standards. The demonstrations covered tempered and laminated safety glass, as well as guardrails.
“It’s an educational and engaging way to highlight technical compliance—one of Abravidro’s key commitments—to essential players who interact directly with end consumers, such as glaziers, locksmiths, and glass specifiers. Throughout the event, visitors could watch live break tests that underscored the importance of proper glass specification, in addition to witnessing real-time trials—an unparalleled opportunity for industry professionals,” said Abravidro President Rafael Ribeiro.
“This test is valuable because it allows us to show our clients the risks of a cheap project and the benefits of a qualified one that follows standards,” explained Jonathas Roberto of Galego Alumínios, who works with aluminum frames and glass and traveled from Paraíba to attend the show.
Awards & Networking
Glass South America also hosted two additional parallel events, further reinforcing the sector’s relevance and dynamism.
For the second consecutive year, the winners of the Abravidro Glass South America 2025 Award were announced in a ceremony on the show’s opening day. In total, 21 trophies were awarded, recognizing efforts and innovations across multiple segments of the glass supply chain. Winners were selected in 14 categories, two of which were regional.
Another key event was the Abravidro Members’ Meeting 2025. Free and open to all members of the association, the program highlighted strategic content for the industry’s development. It covered topics such as technical standards as growth strategies, an overview of foreign trade, and a talk show with representatives from Cebrace, Abravidro, and PKO do Brasil. Starting this year, the Members’ Meeting officially becomes part of the Glass South America program.
“We closed this edition certain that we brought together a highly qualified audience and generated strong business opportunities. For 2027, our commitment is to expand this even further, keeping the trade shows as the ultimate epicenter of the sector in South America,” concluded Alexandre Brown.
